Frequently Asked Questions

  • 1. Do you offer free estimates?

Yes, we do. Simply contact us for more information.

  • 2. What carpet cleaning method do you use?

We use Hot Water Extraction aka steam cleaning. This is the method recommended by most carpet manufacturers. With water temperatures that reach 230 degrees and a powerful vacuum, your carpet receives a deep cleaning.

  • 3. Are you insured?

Yes, our company carries an adequate business liability insurance policy through State Farm.

  • 4. How long will it take for my carpet to dry?

We use a truck mount cleaning unit that has a powerful vacuum that removes most of the water used to clean your carpet. We also use downdraft fans to help expedite the dry time. On average it will feel dry to the touch within about 6-8 hours. But you should leave any wood furniture off the carpet for 24 hours.

  • 5. How much does it cost?

We base our pricing on the square foot that we clean. For example, if your master bedroom is 200 sq. ft. and 100 of it is covered by unmovable furniture, you will only be charged for the open access areas. We feel that it is a fair method to use rather than to charge you for the whole room.

  • 6. Can you treat pet stains and odors?

Yes, we love our pets but know that they can have accidents. The urine becomes an alkaline salt and will off-gas when introduced to moisture. The urine spot is a breeding ground for bacteria. Different options are available.

Option one: In severe cases, the carpet will need to be peeled back and cleaned on both front and back, the pad will need to be replaced, and the subfloor treated with a Bio-modifier and sealed.

Option two: In semi-severe cases, we can saturate the area with our decontamination products and flush areas with a subsurface cleaning tool.

Option three: In minor conditions, we would apply the Urine decontamination product to the surface, then let dwell and extract.

All options will have an enzyme post-treatment applied to it.

  • 7. Can you guarantee you will get all the stains out of my carpet?

Unfortunately, despite our desire to guarantee this, the answer is no because there are many factors involved in making and removing a stain. For example, urine stains will have variables like the age of the pet, medications, dyes in the food that was unmetabolized, as well as whether it was a morning or afternoon urine. Other factors include how long the stain has been there and what products were used on the stain prior to us getting there.

But we are very knowledgeable and certified by the IICRC and will therefore take great care in providing the best possible results for you.

  • 8. What do I need to do to get ready to have my carpet cleaned?

We will move light furniture (sofas, coffee tables, bedside tables). We ask that you remove any items on furniture like lamps, knickknacks, electronics, and plants. The furniture that is unmovable by us would be large heavy items like beds, china cabinets, pianos, dressers with mirrors, etc.

  • 9. How often should I have my carpets cleaned?

The carpet cleaning industry recommends every 18 months, but most people try to have it done once a year. The insoluble soil can scratch, mare your carpet fibers, and cause damage.

We create a biofilm as biological creatures, we shed skin, and have oils that transfer to our home’s surfaces. This biofilm will start to off-gas over time and can be unpleasant. Indoor air quality, pets, allergies, and children are all good reasons to clean your carpet at least once a year.
